A Halbach array is a special arrangement of magnets that ‘directs’ the magnetic field to allow high magnetism in particular locations and low magnetism in other locations.
Magnetic Halbach Arrays
There are a number of different assemblies and arrangements available.
We can supply Halbach arrays in either linear/flat or ring/cylinder arrangement.
We can supply the units as disassembled (magnets only) or assmbled in a suitable housing (brass or alumnium).
Large Halbach array rings are very difficult to assemble and hence the cost of these are quite high. We only recommend assembling them yourself if you have a suitable workshop and appropriate tools and of course a lot of patience.
