Therefore sometimes laminated magnet is also called insulated magnet or glued magnet. Laminated SmCo or laminated Neodymium rare earth magnets are proven to reduce the eddy current loss for the high efficiency motors.
The fewer the eddy current loss becomes, the lower the heat generates to enhance higher efficiency. Nowadays the demand of laminated rare earth magnets has been going up, because aerospace, industrial markets and promising EV especially are dedicating to pursuing the balance between motor power and heat. Applications of Eddy Currents
As you know that by the effect of Eddy Current the heat which is produced is not utilized for any useful work as they are a major source of energy loss in AC machines like transformer, generators, and motors and, therefore, it is known as an Eddy Current Loss. However, there are some uses of this eddy current like in Induction heating.

Samarium Cobalt SmCo Cylindrical Magnet, Sintered Samarium Cobalt Magnetic Bars and Rods

Samarium Cobalt (SmCo) Disc and Rod Magnets are extremely good performers.
Standard SmCo has a maximum operating temperature of up to +300 °C.
Minimum operating for SmCo is temperatures down to nearing -273 °C (cryogenic temperatures).
SmCo has extremely good temperature coefficients, only beaten by Alnico.
SmCo has very low variation in magnetic output with reasonable temperature change.
Sm1Co5 is regarded as corrosion resistant to water.
Sm2Co17 is regarded as having extremely good corrosion resistance.
SmCo can be nickel plated – this allows use for soldering to electrical circuits and also for maximum corrosion resistance for the Sm2Co17 alloys.
We can produce Samarium Cobalt discs and rods to any grade with a custom range of sizes, shapes and coating options. SmCo26 and SmCo26H are very popular grades (the H versions being capable of use at temperatures up to +350 degrees C).

Mature Technology
Samarium-cobalt(SmCo) magnets are the second most powerful magnets, with Neodymium being the most powerful. SmCo Countersunk Pot Magnets are also rare-earth metal based. The main components are samarium (Sm) and cobalt (Co), two elements that can be mixed in ratio 1:5 or 2:17. The final composition takes effect on magnetic and thermal parameters of magnets. A hard and brittle material, SmCo has high energy and is very resistant to external demagnetizing fields. Maximum working temperature is up to +250°C (SmCo5) and up to +300°C (Sm2Co17).
