Rod shape Samarium Cobalt (SmCo) magnets Comes in different forms
Strong Magnetism force, comparable to Neodymium(slightly less)
Working temperature up to+200°C
Mature Technology
Samarium-cobalt SmCo rod magnets are the second most powerful magnets, with Neodymium being the most powerful. SmCo Countersunk Pot Magnets are also rare-earth metal based. The main components are samarium (Sm) and cobalt (Co), two elements that can be mixed in ratio 1:5 or 2:17. The final composition takes effect on magnetic and thermal parameters of magnets. A hard and brittle material, SmCo has high energy and is very resistant to external demagnetizing fields. Maximum working temperature is up to +250°C (SmCo5) and up to +300°C (Sm2Co17).
